Not strictly true for the Philippines, but a lot of discussion here about birth control, sex education, and population really is just kind of going “zomg it’s a slippery slope to ABORTION DDD: ” which is just… I really, really wish there were SOME other pro-choice people in this country, I really wish there were. All I see in these debates are slutshamers who don’t care to look at how countries with legalised abortion deal with it, who don’t care to see why most late-term abortions happen, and who don’t care to know what percentage of legalised abortions take place really early on. It’s all the usual truthiness and Orwellian slogans, and not much actual debate.

While I’m at it, the Church can STFU about the RH Bill if they want to expect a separation of church and state, and Sun.Star can just STFU generally. There was Egypt’s whole revolution and all the paper cared about was local gossip and what the Church thinks of the RH bill. Because yeaah.
